My name is Melissa Ryan Reitberg. I’m a personal injury attorney at Meirowitz and Wasserberg. In my undergraduate studies, I studied dance and finance at Muhlenberg College, and then I went to Pace Law School.

I became an attorney because I wanted to help people – that’s the sum and substance of it. I have a background in the Arts, and a lot of my colleagues were hearing ‘no’ and they’d get contracts that are super thick. They’d sign whatever it was because they finally got a ‘yes’, and no one understood what it said.

I take a lot of pride in being able to write and explain things in a way that people can understand, instead of focusing on legal ease, and that’s really why I went to law school. I started in the Arts, practicing law, and I fell in love with litigation.
