Laurita Rodriguez is an Associate at the firm’s New York City office and a member of the Personal Injury team. Her practice focuses on motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death and civil rights matters.

Prior to joining Meirowitz & Wasserberg, LLP, Ms. Rodriguez worked as a Senior Trial Attorney at Brooklyn Defender Services in the Criminal Defense Practice, where she successfully represented countless individuals charged with misdemeanor and violent felonies offenses from inception to trial. In addition, Ms. Rodriguez lectures for the City University of New York (CUNY). Her lectures include issues related to constitutional law, criminal justice, and the urban community.

Before attending law school, Ms. Rodriguez worked at a plaintiff personal injury law firm for five years working extensively on personal injury matters, fighting vigorously to ensure adequate compensation for clients.

Ms. Rodriguez graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law. While in law school, she was a summer associate at plaintiff’s personal injury law firm. She was president of the Latino Law Student Association. Lastly, she was a New York Pro Bono Scholar, which allowed her to dedicate her last semester in law school to pro bono work in underserved communities. She is a member of Metropolitan Black Bar Association and the Dominican Bar Association.

Ms. Rodriguez is fluent in Spanish.
