Sarah’s path to becoming a lawyer grew out of a deep belief in standing up for people who need an advocate. Sarah’s parents came from hardworking blue-collar families, and they instilled in her the importance of perseverance and doing what’s right. Those lessons have guided Sarah throughout her career and are a big part of why Sarah chose to become a lawyer. Sarah wanted to use her skills to stand up for injured individuals during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Sarah began her career in 2009 as a paralegal at a law firm representing people harmed by asbestos. Working directly with people who had been diagnosed with life-altering diseases showed her how devastating the effects of asbestos exposure can be—not just for the person diagnosed, but for their entire family. That experience motivated Sarah to go to law school in 2011. Sarah continued working as a paralegal while earning her law degree, and in 2014, Sarah became a lawyer.

Sarah’s decision to focus on representing people suffering from devastating illnesses is also deeply personal. Sarah’s father battled both cancer and Alzheimer’s, and experiencing the immediate and residual effects of disease during her father’s battles made Sarah a better advocate for her clients. Sarah knows how hard it is to navigate the medical system, let alone the added challenge of dealing with the legal system. This perspective drives Sarah to be not only a strong advocate, but also a source of compassion and support for the clients she represents.

Since 2014, Sarah has dedicated her practice representing individuals and families whose lives were forever changed when corporations put profits ahead of health and safety. Through our justice system, wrongly injured individuals have the opportunity to hold those corporations accountable, and Sarah is honored to be an advocate in the court room for her clients. Sarah’s goal is not only to provide strong advocacy, but also compassion, clarity, and support. Sarah takes the time to listen, explain the process in simple terms, and fight for justice on behalf of her clients. Above all, Sarah wants her clients to feel supported, understood, and confident that they have someone in their corner.

Outside of work, Sarah values time with her family and friends and her volunteer work with the American Lung Association. Both keep Sarah centered and reinforce the meaning behind the work she is honored to do.
