New Statutes Of Limitations

The recently passed New York Child Victims Act is a big step forward in making the statutes of limitations to report child sexual abuse more equitable. It allows survivors of child sexual abuse an extended time to seek prosecution of perpetrators. Now, a survivor can be up to 55 years of age to seek justice in a civil case. Previously, the age limit was 23 years of age.
